Clickworker.com is a well-established platform that allows freelancers from around the world to complete microjobs for extra income. The company has announced they’re changing payment rules for workers receiving earnings using PayPal. The previous minimum balance required was €5/$5. The minimum balance required to receive payment to your PayPal account from Clickworker is now €10/$10.

The change doesn’t affect payments to Payoneer which remain at a €5/$5 minimum. The frequency of payments remains weekly for both payment methods.

The change to PayPal rules takes effect on August 1st 2021.

Do members need to do anything?

No action is required from any members. Your balance will roll over as normal each week if your balance is under the €10/$10 required minimum. If you aren’t yet a member at Clickworker but are interested in earning extra money from completing short jobs and tasks you can join for free.

Why the change?

The announcement from ‘clickworker GmbH’ states the change is due to PayPal changing its pricing structure. Here’s a screenshot of the full announcement in the member area of Clickworker.

Is there anything you can do?

If you wish to still benefit from the lower required minimum of €5/$5 the only thing you can do is switch your payment method to Payoneer.

How to switch your payment method from PayPal to Payoneer at Clickworker

  1. Login to your Clickworker account
  2. Click the ‘Payment details’ link listed under the ‘Account’ heading in the main menu
  3. You will see a table displaying your existing payment details, click the link below the table titled ‘Modify payment details’
  4. Select the ‘Payoneer’ radio button (if you don’t yet have a Payoneer account create a free one at Payoneer.com)
  5. Click the ‘Save’ button

Are there any other changes to the service?

No, the announcement doesn’t mention any other changes so the platform and app should be staying as they are when this payment rule change kicks in.

If you have any questions about the change you’re best to ask in the Clickworker members forum or send an email to their support team.
